Admin Menu Mod for CP v5.1

A Mod that simplifies the setting of Admin Menu permissions.

Anyone who has tried to set permissions for multiple users in the Admin Menu Manager knows that not only do you have to set the permission of the page in the Menu settings but you also have to change the value of the AdminLevel constant on each page you change.

This can add up to a lot of needless code editing.

Now with this mod all you have to do is set the permission in the Admin Menu Manager and this mod will take care of the rest. It's even smart enough to know that if you allow a user to access an editing page then they also have permission to access the execute page to make the changes they have been editing.

Here's an example. Say you want to allow the OE Clerk to edit Customer records. Before you had to do is go to the Admin Menu Manager, give the OE Clerk access to SA_cust.asp then edit the adminLevel values in SA_cust.asp, SA_cust_edit.asp and SA_cust_exec.asp to complete the permissions process.

Now all you have to do is go to the Admin Menu Manager, allow the OE Clerk to access SA_cust.asp and the mod instinctively knows you need to also allow access to SA_cust_edit.asp and SA_cust_exec.asp and sets it for you.

That's it, that's all you have to do.

Links Directory Mod v1.10

Linx, the Link Directory Mod for CP 3.4 and 3.5

Linx allows you to create a directory of links using categories to keep them organised. Not only is it a handy addition for your visitors but it also helps boost search engine ranking for your site.

Linx is designed to work similarly to how you allocate normal Categories and Products to CandyPress, thus making it easier for you to set up.

Ultimate Menu Mod v1

This MOD allows you to easily control the look and feel of your Extra Pages, Featured Categories, Top Sellers and New Product Menus.

You can set the orientation of each menu individually, either Horizontally or Vertically.

It allows you to choose a colour theme for your menus to suit your site. These themes are CSS based and easy to edit.

AutoSave Pages

This MOD is designed to AutoSave, after 15 minutes, when editing a Product or Custom Page, before the ASP 20 minute Session Timeout. Saves a lot of double typing and unhappy clients.

You may or may not be aware that when using ASP on a web site, the default timeout for an ASP Session is set at 20 minutes.

What this means is that whenever someone exceeds this period, any changes made to a website page will be lost.

A good example of this is say someone is editing the text in one of the Extra Pages supplied in CP. They are happily typing away, the creative thoughts are flowing and before you know it, over an hour has passed. All the text is still there on the screen, until they press the Save button.

As the ASP session has already timed out, they will be taken immediately to the Login Screen and you guessed it, all that typing is gone into cyber oblivion.

Enter the CPMods AutoSave MOD.

This MOD works in both the ExtraPage's (Custom Pages) and Product Edit.

There is a new warning at the top of the two edit pages that there will be an AutoSave after 15 Minutes.

Once the time has expired, there is a layer that pops up telling the user that the AutoSave is in Progress. At the end of the Save (3 seconds), the user is returned to the same page to continue editing and the timer is reset again.

Easy, no more lost work.

Admin/NonAdmin Menu Manager Multiple CP v4.1

MOD designed for controlling the ADMIN / NON ADMIN menus display with Multiple Non Admin

Now for CP v4.1

In CP, we have the option for users Admin or NON Admin.

ADMIN is fair self explanatory, the standard one we use every day.
NON ADMIN - was designed to restrict a user to certain pages they are allowed to see and work on.

To enable the NON ADMIN user, requires editing every page you want them to have access to and changing a variable in the page to 1, the NON ADMIN user value.

Now there is a better way.

Our New Admin Menu Mod is now even better with three additonal Non-Admin logons. Admin can allocate any page they want to any non-admin user they want providing an incredible flexiblity in page permissions. The four non-admin users in our demo are Fred, Wilma, Barney and Betty.

Login as ADMIN, the mod then allows you, in the ADMIN > Developer Tools > Admin Menu Manager section, to set Non-Admin access for each page (Admin always has permision for each page.

Personal Wishlist

This is our FREE Personal Wishlist MOD

FREE Personal Wishlist Mod.

This mod is designed to allow your customers to add products to a Personal Wishlist.
This list will remain between sessions and always be available once they are logged in.
They can then add the product to their cart for purchase at a later date.

This Mod is similar to the Favourites feature with the following exceptions:

Wishlist is not cookie based, it's customer based. When your customer logs back in their Wishlist will be waiting for them.
The Wishlist is always visible, the customer can view or delete from the list with just one mouse click.
The wishlist is secure, it can only be seen when logged in whereas Favourites is only there as long as the cookie is.

This Mod uses existing code to enable the Wishlist feature in CandyPress v3.4 and v3.5. The Wishlist is visibile only to the Wishlist owner when they log in, it is not publicly available. Candypress intends to release a Gift Registry in the near future (if they haven't already) which will serve this function. This Mod is purely intended to allow your customer to keep a list of products they would like to purchase in the future.

Here is Simon's description of the Batch Resizer:

WHAT CAN IT DO?

The batch creates 3 (or 2) resized versions of each original image then renames the resized versions with a suffix or prefix of your choice.

Original images are preserved; the resized images are placed in a subfolder called resized! this folder is displayed at the end of each batch.

If you tick "upload after resize" the batch will upload the resized images to your website image folder via FTP.

To enable the upload you first need to enter a valid FTP host and specify the remote image folder. Once you have tested the connection successfully you can enable the automatic upload feature.

The Supplier Mod v1.1 is designed to operate seamlessly with the CandyPress eCommerce (v2.5) software to expand the User and Admin capabilities/features for store owners who offer downloadable products or products sold under consignment.

Specifically, it was designed to ease the Administrators workload associated with calculating payments to Suppliers who may offer a variety of products at different commission or payment rates. In addition, it also provides Suppliers (especially those who offer downloadable products) the added comfort of providing a unique Supplier Login area to track sales, orders, payments, etc.

Although Candypress can track product sales, the Supplier Mod v1.1 goes one step further by allowing store owners to assign a Supplier to a particular product, as well as, set a range of payment rates in order to easily make payment to the supplier after order fulfillment.

Once the product and payment rates are established, payments to Suppliers are automatically calculated and admin can simply click on the payment link to pay suppliers. A summary page provides Admin a listing of all payments due to suppliers, as well as best selling supplier products by commission, top selling products by quantity, newsletter option to suppliers, payment history, bulk upload, and a host of other features!

Four routines can display either a random static comment / site pic or a constanly changing display (or scroller).

Well now you can add customer comments to your website and have them change either randomly with each page refresh or scroll through one at a time without changing the page. As a bonus we also allow you to add a picture to represent the site.

A new page in the Administration section of your website allows you to add, delete and modify your Customer Comments with the same ease that you would add, delete or modify any of your products. You can add a comment, a name for the commenter, their website, a picture and the product they're commenting on.

In the front end of your site you can choose static or dynamic presentation of the comments. You can have:

Advanced META Tags - CP4

This MOD allows you to provide CUSTOMISED Meta Tags on any ExtraPage or Product for CP 4

With the release of v3 of Candypress we finally had built-in Meta Tags.

However, closer investigation shows that ALL pages in the new ExtraPage section would all have the same Meta Tags.

This was sort of true with Products as well, with the exception of the replaceable fields in the Title, Description and Keywords tags they would all be the same.

This new MOD - we called it Advanced Meta Tags, allows you to apply Page and Product specific META Tags to any ExtraPage or Product.

You should still create all the standard default tags as normal. Our MOD makes use of the basics and gives you access to the 3 Main Tags - TITLE - DESCRIPTION - KEYWORDS.

The replacement tags in standard Candypress still work with the ADVANCED Meta MOD

If no ADVANCED Meta exists for a page or product, it reverts to the standard default Candypress Meta Tags, the best of both worlds.

Now Meta Tags are a contentious issue amongst the SEO community, some say they work, others argue the opposite, so I guess you have to make up your own mind wheter you need them or not.
(For what it's worth, we still use them)

Try starting at say 100 or 1000 and go up by 10's.

This will give you some room to move when you need to add new pages.

The reason for this is behine the way computers count, if you went 1, 10, 20, 30 etc, you may not get the results you desire.

So keep them in block order ... 100, 110, 120, 130, 140 etc and all will be fine

This is not the easiest MOD to explain, but this is basically how it works ....
I recommend you check out the Demo site, it is easier to see it in action.

CUSTOMER:
You set a customer to be Retail or Wholesale.
If Wholesale, you set a Pricing Level for that customer.
When a customer logs in, they see all products shown with their price level.

PRODUCTS:
You set as many price levels for an item as required.

Price levels should go from Highest Price to Lowest price.
i.e.:
Level 0 - is Retail,
Level 1 should be the next price down
Level 2, the next and so on ...

L0: $10
L1: $9
L2: $8
L3: $7 ..... and so on

What happens is, if a wholesale customer, L3, looks at a product that
say only has level 0 & 1 set, the Mod will walk backwards from L3 until it finds a Valid Price.

This allows you to only set lower levels on the products that need it.

One other feature is that you can set an entire category to a specific customer.
No-one else will ever see that category and the customer will only see it when they
login to their account.

All products show RETAIL until a customer logs in. After login, they will see prices
relevant to their Price Level

Price by Markup

Markup Mod allows you to set pricing based on product quantity.

This MOD is available NOW

Our Markup Mod allows you to set multiple pricing for a product based on the quantity being ordered. For example you may wnat to charge full price for one item, 95% for 2 to 100 units of the same item, 80% for 100 - 500 and so on. They say a picture is worth a thousand words so here's a picture of what your customers will see when they view a product that has markup applied to it.

You can also set a pack quantity. Say you wish to sell Mrs Ball Chutney in boxes of 10 instead of individually. Just set the minimum amount for this particular product and now your customers can only order it in lots of ten.
